Dail Chambers, Creativity + Healing Art

Dail Chambers is the founder of the Yeyo Arts Collective in St. Louis, Missouri, a network of artists, social workers, art therapists, personal trainers, and entrepreneurs who are dedicated to the use of art as a means of empowering women and their families.

For the past 5 years, the Yeyo Arts Collective has operated a public art gallery and 3 community centers in St. Louis where Dail and other volunteers host art training and wellness programs for impoverished residents. Since the organization’s initial founding, the Collective has received city-wide recognition and has had an immeasurable impact on the communities where its programs are offered.

In their newest initiative, Creativity + Healing Art, Dail plans to create pop-up style workshops throughout the city focused on self-esteem building, motivation, public health, leadership develop, and social support. Workshops will specifically target women and single mothers and will provide instruction in writing and fine art skills, as well as meditation-based inspirational practices.

Throughout 2015, Dail hopes to reach over 150 people, and expand their city-wide network of similar organizations.
