Charity Parenzin – The America Unchained Project

Date grant awarded: December 10, 2018

Despite seeing a medical provider during captivity, 87.7% of all human trafficking victims will leave with their captor at the end of the visit. The America Unchained Project, led by Charity Parenzin, is a group of media professionals who work alongside human trafficking organization leaders, law enforcement, FBI agents, and survivors who have joined together to create an online media education opportunity for medical professionals on how to identify human trafficking victims in a clinical setting.

With the help and endorsement of universities and existing organizations, The America Unchained Project will create a media hub of free educational tools that will hone in on key ways to identify, treat and rescue victims.
