Bushenyi Bakyara Twetungure – Bushenyi Bakyara Twetungure
Bushenyi Bakyara Tweyombeke is a group of 30 women of all ages who came together to improve their livelihoods by establishing a sustainable and stable source of income. They raise money through table banking and membership contributions. They have pooled their monthly contributions and acquired 3 acres of land to make a long-term investment that benefits all group members.
With the TPP grant, the group will establish a banana Plantation on the land, which will produce 50 bunches of bananas per month, on average, translating into 750,000 UGX per Month. The women will share 40%, plough 40% back into the project, and spend 20% on Administrative costs.
