Apilo Judith and Osana Lorna, Women Empowering Women

Round briquettes are pictured as they dry.

It is said that there is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of women and this holds true in Gulu, Uganda where Apilo Judith and Osana Lorne have created the Women Empowering Women project. Judith and Lorne are providing fellow females with essential life skills that aid in the production of affordable cooking and heating fuel for households from recycled biomass. Though tangible trainings, women will be able to address electricity costs and environmental degradation.
