Ann Gloria Njoki Nyawira, Able Hands
Able Hands is a project of Deaf Outreach Program, which is a young disability organization that works toward promoting inclusion of persons with disability in development. This project will train 40 persons with disabilities on tailoring skills combined with entrepreneurship skill. After the training, the project’s beneficiaries will be given ownership of the sewing machines to allow them to provide for themselves and their families.
Able Hands wants to contribute toward poverty reduction among PWD by increasing income capacity of 40 people engaging them in tailoring as a source of income and skill.
