André Ryuji Zampronio, Neighbourhood Music
André Ryuji Zampronio, Rafael Ferreira, Carolina Astolfo, Caroline Nascindin and Eduardo Carvalho are a group of passionate Education and Art students fighting for equal access to art. They believe music is a vital tool in helping people become part of their communities and developing as future leaders and citizens of their country.
“Neighbourhood Music” consists of teaching music and citizenship in less privileged communities in the outskirts of São Paulo city, Brazil. By providing teachers, instruments and the place where the classes can be held, they are able to break through the barrier of social and economic status and give everyone a chance to access the arts connecting to the joy that they bring.
