Amy Williams, Suzanne Campbell, Holly Doden – One Thread Project
Trapped in an endless poverty cycle, without access to education or meaningful work opportunities, millions of young women and single mothers in the Democratic Republic of Congo find themselves without hope. In 2016 the One Thread Project was born out of a desire to support these women. By providing job skill training and holistic wrap around support, their goal is to lift women out of poverty and offer them a life with hope.
The 40 hour intensive program provides high-impact business training and mentorship, equipping individuals to start small businesses and break the cycle of poverty. Following course completion, each woman receives ongoing support in the form of mentorship and a kickstart fund to start and run her own small business.
