It’s on! In this month of May, The Pollination Project is launching an exciting opportunity for each of you to join us in honoring our Impact Grantees and expanding our Impact Grant program. The Pollination Project awards Impact Grants to selected grantees from our Seed Grant program who have reached a point where they are poised to grow in their work and reach even higher heights. Impact Grants help them grow – from seeds…to trees.
This year, as depicted below, TPP was able to award 104 Impact Grants in the total amount of $302,000 to 25 countries around the world.
These new Impact Grantees along with the Impact Grantees from previous years are spreading the values of compassion, justice, and sustainability in a myriad of innovative ways, each tailored to their local issues and populations, in every corner of the planet. TPP is proud to have supported all these seeds of ideas as they grow into more powerful and impactful organizations.
To illustrate the kind of projects receiving Impact Grants and to give you a sense of the good they are doing in their communities, please check out just two of the 104 awardees from this year. I hope you’ll agree these are amazing change-makers!
But the need is even greater and TPP can do so much more. Every year, TPP regretfully has to decline highly qualified Impact Grant applicants due to limited funding. This year, our global advisor team and our grantmaking staff identified 30-40 applications fully deserving Impact Grants that TPP was unable to fund. Though we make every effort to support these exceptional leaders in non-financial ways, without the financial resources to lend our support, we can only stand by and hope that these amazing applicants find a way to keep their projects going until they can find the funding they need and richly deserve. That is why, during this month of May, we are reaching out to the entire TPP community to join together and help close this funding gap to help worthy projects endure and blossom.
We aim to raise $100,000 entirely devoted to the Impact Grant program through this Seeds to Trees campaign. As an added incentive, a generous and anonymous donor has agreed to match every donation this month, dollar for dollar. If you are moved to join us, your contribution will have double the impact! We are already on our way thanks to several members of the community who have generously made contributions to turn projects from Seeds to Trees!
It is easy to join us by giving to this important campaign for growth. Visit our secure donation page where you can make a gift of any amount to help us secure the Impact Grant program. If you prefer to make a gift in another way or have any questions at all, please contact TPP’s Development Director, Peter Hamilton, here on our contact page.
