Xochitl Rivera has been an ethical vegan for eleven years and a multidisciplinary person who has worked on behalf of non-human animals through: writing, cooking, giving courses, workshops and talks about animal ethics and plant based food.
Throughout Mexico she has been involved in different projects and organizations that seek to improve the conditions of animals. For 5 years she has directed the Centro de Atención Canina y Felina de Zacatecas which is a shelter for dogs and cats, doing free neuter and spay in all the state, especially in marginalized communities, adoptions and educational talks in schools. She has also managed to modify different laws and regulations of animal protection in the State of Zacatecas and Durango. She is a co founder of ComerparaSanar.com, a group that aims to promote a plant-based diet to improve health, positive impact in animals and the planet. And for fun and happiness she is a raw vegan ultra runner.
