Guilherme CarvalhoGuilherme Carvalho was born and raised in the Brazilian northeastern city of Recife, but has lived in São Paulo since 2010. He initiated his work in animal advocacy making the independent short length documentary Atave exposing the cruelty of poultry industry in Brazil. After that he was Brazil Campaign Manager for Humane Society International’s Farm Animal Protection Department for more than three years (2009-2012), working on a cage-free campaign and promoting Meat Free Mondays. Guilherme was also co-founder of the vegan restaurant chain Barão Natural Vegan Food (largest Brazilian vegetarian/vegan restaurant chain) and is the CEO of the Brazilian Vegetarian Society (SVB) since 2013. More importantly, Guilherme is the father of Marina, a wonderful vegan baby girl.
