“Community leaders gathered at Impact Church Thursday evening in Temple to kickoff the “Soil and Seed, Sprouts to Success” program after the Un-Included Club received a grant from the Rotary Club of Temple South. The club’s urban agriculture program will benefit by getting a greenhouse built to continue their education on agriculture and healthy eating habits. Beverly Luedke, Rotary Club of Temple South president, said every year they give community clubs District Assisted Project grants. “They are community-based grants that allow us to do something within the community to better it,” she said. Luedke said she wanted to reach out to the Un-Included Club after hearing they were struggling with their garden at the Blackland Research Center.
