Ariel Vegosen is a professional Workshop Facilitator, Gender Inclusivity Trainer, Writer, Educator, Mentor, Performance Artist, Liberation Advocate, Ritualist, Coach, and Consultant. Ariel is the founder of Gender Illumination (www.genderillumination.com) an organization dedicated to creating safer spaces for Trans and gender queer people through the tools of education and policy change. For the past 15 years Ariel has facilitated trainings, workshops, and retreats for organizations, corporations, nonprofits, schools, communities, and faith based groups. Ariel has facilitated Gender Inclusivity Trainings for major tech companies as well as major policy institutes. Ariel’s work focuses on intersectionality, commitment to working from an anti-oppression lens, and creating communities across diverse cultural backgrounds. Ariel has a long history of activism from teaching nonviolence as a strategy to organizing marches to working on policy reform. Ariel’s work has focused on gender justice, environmental justice, and cross-cultural interfaith solidarity organizing. This work has taken Ariel to Iran, Palestine, Israel, Costa Rica, India, Nepal, Thailand, Uganda, Colombia, and all over the U.S. Ariel is an ordained Kohenet Hebrew Priestess and has a certificate of Spirituality and Social Change from the Pacific School of Religion as part of the Changemaker Fellowship. Ariel currently serves on the board of the Fellowship of Reconciliation – a 100 year old peace organization, The Community of Living Traditions – a multi-faith farm based community, and Shomeret Shalom Rabbinic School and Learning Center – which focuses on nonviolence in faith. Ariel loves to play with pronouns, bring joy into all aspects of life, and creatively spark conversations and connections. Ariel is proud to be queer and gender queer.
