“Twenty four humanitarian leaders and community activists from around the globe are here at 92Y for our Ford Fellows program.  This one-of-a-kind program now in it’s 15th year and supported by The Ford Fund provides non-profit management training for this select group. The photo above was taken last night at our welcome dinner. Pictured from L-R are four fellows from Kenya: Leonard Akwany, founder of Ecofinder Kenya, Maria Omare, Executive Director of The Action Foundation, Babere Getengita, Founder of KDCM-Kenya, and Evalyn Maloba Wakhusma, Founder Director of Nambale Magnet School, with First Secretary Consular, Kenya Mission to the UN, New York, Charles Munyao.  These humanitarian leaders are learning new skills at 92Y that they’ll bring back with them to improve their communities at home.”
