Emily Hime- Ke Kontan English Class
Emily is a 20 year old Canadian native who’s been volunteering and serving others since a very young age. On March of 2011, Emily landed in Haiti and her definition of home forever changed. After a few volunteer trips to the small Carribbean island, Emily was presented with the opportunity to take over a small orphanage, and with little hesitation and a heart full of hope, Emily quickly accepted the challenge and permanently moved to Montrious, Haiti to care for the needs of 11 abandoned children. Emily has since started her own non-profit Hime for Help and continues and will be using TPP’s funds to start an after school program that teaches children, in the community, English and other basic tools that will facilitate their ability to hopefully one day, care for themselves.
